Uncoated veils soak up too much paint, form pinholes under roller pressure, and crack on exterior walls. SACFT140 applies a dense 140g/m² mineral coating onto the glass web to block slurry leaks, cut paint use, and raise board line pass rates.

SACFT140 FIBERGLASS COATED FACING TISSUE (140g/m²)

Stops Slurry Bleed. Zero Board Cracks.

SAXOBRAN® Our team designed SACFT140 because we saw gypsum and insulation board plants scrap wet runs when slurry bleeds through light veil faces. We found that uncoated veils soak up too much paint, pinhole under roller pressure, and crack on exterior walls. SACFT140 applies a dense 140g/m² mineral coating onto glass web to block slurry leaks, cut paint use, and raise board line pass rates.

Industrial Pain Points Solved

Slurry Bleed-Through and High Paint Soak

  • Wet gypsum core or slurry bleeds through raw tissue during board forming. Rough faces drag down line speed and soak up extra topcoat paint on field jobs.

  • We seal the glass web with a dense inorganic mineral layer to stop liquid leaks. It creates a smooth, paint-ready surface that uses up to 30% less topcoat paint.

High-Speed Web Snapping and Edge Fray

  • Fast board lines pull tissue web over hot dryer decks. Low-tensile veils snap under drag, stopping the line and wasting raw slurry mix inside drying kilns.

  • Built with high Machine Direction tensile strength (≥200 N/50mm).Pulls smooth through high-speed forming rolls without edge fraying or center splits.

Engineered Characteristics

Fiberglass mat

Sealed Mineral Coating

Blocks wet gypsum slurry bleed and gives boards a smooth, pinhole-free face ready for exterior coats.

Fast Cement & Gypsum Bond

Locks into wet board slurry in under 3 seconds while holding a tough water barrier on the surface.

Fiberglass mat

Heavy-Tension Line Pull

Holds web shape through 180°C drying ovens with zero shrinkage, warping, or edge tears.

Processing, Packaging & Logistics Quality

1

Temperature Range

Store rolls in dry indoor rooms between 10°C and 30°C.

2

Humidity Limits

Keep relative humidity below 65% so the mineral coating layer stays dry.

3

Stacking Security

Do not stack pallets more than 2 layers high to keep cardboard cores round.

Global Supply Chain Securement

  • Roll & Core Construction: Wound tight on heavy-duty 3-inch solid paper cores to prevent core crushing.

  • Sealed Barrier Packaging: Wrapped in thick, heat-sealed PE film to block water, dust, and sea salt during transit.

  • Anti-Shifting Loading: Fixed on sturdy wooden pallets with protective corner boards and tight plastic strapping.

Technical Q&A

Q: What is the fundamental difference in design logic between this model and the standard or general-purpose models within this category?

  • A: Standard facing veils (like 40g/m² or 60g/m²) are raw glass tissues without surface seals. SACFT140 uses a factory-applied inorganic mineral coating reaching 140g/m². This sealed coat blocks wet slurry bleed-through and UV light, making it suitable for exterior insulation boards and high-grade gypsum panels that raw tissues cannot handle.

Q: In actual operation, how can this model be utilized to achieve optimal performance?

  • A: Feed SACFT140 coated-side down onto your forming belt before pouring wet gypsum or insulation slurry. Keep unwinding roll tension steady across the full web width. Ensure your slurry mixer maintains standard water ratio so the slurry bonds to the glass back without flooding the mineral top coat.

Q: What are the shelf life and storage limitations after opening the original packaging?

  • A: Once you cut the PE film seal, use the roll within 24 hours. Heavy 140g/m² coated tissue absorbs air humidity in damp plants. If moisture exceeds 0.2%, water turns to steam in hot dryer ovens, causing face blisters and layer separation in finished boards. Wrap partially used rolls back in PE film.
