Quartz Sleeve
Quartz tubing is produced by using a three-dimensional spinning machine to create tubing of different aperture sizes from twisted quartz fiber yarns. It possesses excellent properties such as high temperature resistance, high strength, good insulation performance, and corrosion resistance. It is primarily used as external insulation material for high-temperature cables and aerospace electronic equipment conductors.
Quartz sleeves are made by using a three-dimensional spinning machine to produce sleeves with different apertures from twisted quartz fiber yarns. In terms of high-temperature resistance, its hardening point is approximately 1730℃, allowing for prolonged use at 1100℃, with a short-term maximum operating temperature of 1400℃.
In terms of corrosion resistance, it is inert to all acids except hydrofluoric acid and hot phosphoric acid, and exhibits only slight corrosion from alkalis and salts at room temperature.
It has good thermal stability with a low coefficient of linear expansion, enabling it to withstand drastic temperature changes; for example, it will not crack when placed in room-temperature water after being heated to approximately 1100℃.
It has excellent light transmittance across the entire spectrum from ultraviolet to infrared, with visible light transmittance exceeding 93%, and a maximum transmittance exceeding 80% in the ultraviolet region.
It possesses excellent electrical insulation properties, with a resistance value equivalent to ten thousand times that of ordinary glass, making it an excellent electrical insulating material.
Furthermore, while the quartz sleeve is non-hygroscopic and does not weather, it is highly sensitive to all alkalis and alkaline earth compounds. Even trace amounts of these compounds can induce crystallization in the quartz sleeve at high temperatures.
Quartz Sleeve Performance advantages:
1. High temperature resistance, low thermal conductivity, thermal shock resistance, and low thermal capacity.
2. Excellent performance, long-term use temperature of 1050°C, short-term use temperature up to 1200°C.
3. Quartz sleeves are lightweight, heat-resistant, have low heat capacity, and low thermal conductivity.
4. Non-hygroscopic, non-corrosive, non-mildew, non-insect, and it is not easy to scatter, with excellent aging resistance.
5. Quartz sleeves have high tensile strength and length stability.
Quartz Sleeve Application range:
1. Used as high-temperature insulation wrapping materials.
2. Used as thermal insulation sealing outer packaging materials.
3. Thermal protection materials for electrical appliances.
4. Can also be used as high-temperature expansion joints, thermocouples, high-temperature insulation materials for electric heating wires, etc.
5. Insulation wrapping materials for high-temperature cables, high-voltage cables, wires, etc.
6. Cable protection for heating areas, fluid pipelines, quick change joints, rolling areas, rolling mill cables, oil pipelines in metallurgical enterprises; cables and oil pipelines and joints around sawing; cable protection for ladle cars.
