SAFM40 Floor mat (40g/m²)
We designed this 40 g/m² fabric specifically for the production process of multi-layer PVC and vinyl flooring. It effectively holds the layers in place, prevents edge curling, and reduces material waste.
SAFM40 Floor mat (40g/m²)
Stops shrink and warp in multi-layer vinyl floors.
SAXOBRAN® We designed this 40g/m² tissue for multi-layer PVC and vinyl flooring lines. Our team found that standard carriers shift under heat. This causes costly size errors during hot pressing. SAFM40 keeps your layers locked in place, reduces edge curl, and stops material waste.
Industrial Pain Points Solved
Layer Delamination & Bubbling
Cheap carrier tissues do not drink PVC resin fast enough. This traps air between layers and creates bubbles after hot pressing, forcing you to scrap the whole batch.
SAFM40 can absorb liquid PVC plastisol within 3 seconds. It produces no bubbles, forming a strong bond with no air gaps between layers.
Dimension Shrinkage & Edge Curl
High heat during vinyl backing lamination makes poor fiberglass stretch and warp. The cooled floor tiles curl up at the edges and fail final quality checks.
Withstands up to 200°C line temperatures without shrinking.Holds final sheet size with less than 0.1% thermal dimensional change.
Engineered Characteristics
Total Surface Hiding
Lays completely flat to cover rough backing sheets and keep the top vinyl print smooth.
Rapid Resin Wet-out
Highly compatible with PVC plastisols and acrylic glues to speed up your lamination line.
High Tensile Stability
Resists high inline pulling tension without tearing, snapping, or narrowing on the rollers.

Stacking Security
Stack pallets max 2 layers high to protect paper cores from crushing.
Global Supply Chain Securement
Roll & Core Construction: Every roll is wound on a heavy-duty 3-inch cardboard core.
Sealed Barrier Packaging: Sealed inside a thick PE protective bag to block sea moisture during shipping.
Anti-Shifting Loading: Packed on strong wooden pallets with airbags to stop container shifting.
Technical Q&A
Q: How does SAFM40 differ from your standard general-purpose fiberglass tissue?
A: Standard tissue uses a stiff binder that cracks when bent. SAFM40 uses a soft, flexible acrylic binder. This allows the tissue to flex with the multi-layer vinyl without creating stiff spots or micro-cracks during die-cutting.
Q: How do we get the best bonding performance on a high-speed PVC line?
A: Keep your pre-heat zone between 160°C and 180°C. Ensure your coating rolls apply even pressure. This forces the PVC plastisol to sink completely through the 40g/m² web before the final cooling station.
Q: What is the shelf life if we open the original plastic wrap but do not use the whole roll?
A: Once opened, you must use the roll within 72 hours. If left open on a humid shop floor, the glass fibers will absorb water from the air. This will cause gas pockets during your next hot-press run. Reseal it tightly with PE film if stored.
