Quartz fiber yarn is a yarn formed by twisting continuous filaments made of high-purity silicon dioxide (SiO₂ content ≥99.95%). The single filament diameter is typically 5-15 μm, and it can be wound onto a bobbin with different twist directions and number of strands.
It has a long-term temperature resistance of 1050-1200℃, a softening point of 1700℃, and a tensile strength of up to 6000 MPa. It also possesses low dielectric constant (3.74), low thermal conductivity (thermal expansion coefficient 0.54×10⁻⁶/K), and chemical stability.
The production technology of this material originated from the high-purity quartz melting and drawing process. In the early 21st century, domestic enterprises achieved large-scale production by introducing foreign equipment.
Our company uses a fully automated production line to develop products with single filament diameters as low as 5 μm and has obtained certifications such as GJB 9001C.
Its applications have gradually expanded from early high-temperature sealing materials to aerospace thermal protection shields, missile radomes, high-temperature furnace linings for semiconductors, and stealth composite materials.

Quartz fiber yarn possesses characteristics such as high temperature resistance, low thermal conductivity, high strength, and good insulation. It can be used in various textile processing techniques and is widely applied in industries such as fiber optics, aerospace, and semiconductors.
Quartz fiber yarn is currently a flexible inorganic material with extremely low dielectric properties and extremely high temperature resistance. It can replace alkali-free glass fiber, high-silica fiber, basalt fiber, etc., and can partially replace aramid and carbon fibers.
It has unique advantages in ultra-high temperature and aerospace fields. In addition, quartz fiber has a small coefficient of linear expansion and the rare characteristic of increasing elastic modulus with increasing temperature.
Performance of quartz fiber yarn:
1. Good acid resistance and corrosion resistance. Stable chemical properties.
2. Low density and high tensile strength. No microcracks on the surface, tensile strength up to 6000 MPa.
3. Excellent dielectric properties: dielectric constant is only 3.74.
4. Ultra-high temperature resistance: Taking Shenjiu as an example, the long-term operating temperature is 1050-1200℃, the softening point temperature is 1700℃, it is resistant to thermal shock, and has a longer service life.
5. Good insulation, low thermal conductivity, and stable performance.
Application scope:
1. Can be used as radomes for space shuttles, electromagnetic windows for aircraft, and electronic countermeasures devices;
2. Dental implants and artificial bone reinforcement materials;
3. Televisions, radios, computers, mobile communication equipment;
4. Good high-temperature resistance, able to withstand the strong thermal shock generated by friction with the atmosphere during high-speed flight of missile radomes;
5. Aircraft engine and fuselage fire barriers, semiconductor and fiber optic manufacturing;
6. High-temperature catalyst carrier materials (automobile exhaust treatment, industrial air purifiers);
7. Roller sleeves for roller rods in automobile glass tempering furnaces;
8. Can be made into high-temperature and hot acid gas and liquid filtration materials.
